Spring Concert: “Rivers in a Dry Land” May 18, 3:00

Join Spirit Song Choir, Youth Choir and our amazing instrumentalists, Sunday, May 18, at 3:00 p.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Drive in Woodbury, for a refreshing afternoon of beautiful music. Rivers in a Dry Land will include works by Ysaye’ Barnwell, Maurice Durufle’, Kyle Pederson, Laura Farnell, Dan Forrest, Karisha Longacre, and more. This is a free concert, and everyone is welcome! A free will offering will be taken to support the work of Wild Rivers Conservancy.

Spirit Song Choir performed This Little Light of Mine in February, a concert that benefited PeaceMaker Minnesota. The concert featured works by Andre’ Thomas, Rosephanye Powell, Kyle Pederson, Melanie DeMore, and more.

Sing We All Noel! is available free to watch on YouTube for any that missed it. Thanks to Jim Kammerer for the group photo.

The video from our concert on October 7th at Our Lady of Victory Chapel at St. Catherine University is now available for you to enjoy. The program included works by Elaine Hagenberg, Dan Forrest, Ysaye M. Barnwell, and Maurice Durufle.

About Spirit Song Choir

Spirit Song is an independent, ecumenical, community choir.  Spirit Song is dedicated to sharing sacred and other inspirational choral music through concerts, community events, prayer and worship services, sing-alongs, and Spirit Song Radio. We have a dedicated outreach to our friends in senior living communities.  This volunteer organization brings together singers, instrumentalists and dancers with a wide range of musical and life experiences.

Spirit Song Youth and Adults Holiday Concert

You can listen to a recording of the Spring 2023 concert, Just Sing, here, and our Fall 2023 concert here. The recording from our May 7th, 2023 concert, “The Time of Singing Has Come,” is available at this link. Recordings of other concerts can be found at Every Voice in Concert Sing, This is Our Song of Peace, You Do Not Walk Alone, and Sing We All Noel.

During the pandemic, were so grateful for the technology that enabled us to gather virtually, and continue to sing, albeit in unusual new ways! We recorded a number of virtual choir performances listed below, created our own radio show, and hosted some amazing composers, including Kyle Pederson, Jude Nwankwo, and, most recently, Eric Whitacre. Virtual videos created during the pandemic included How Can I Keep From Singing, O Love, For Everyone Born, Let There Be Peace, Be Not Afraid, What a Wonderful World and Bambalela and Inscription of Hope by our Spirit Song Youth.
