For each of our major concerts Spirit Song Choir partners with a local non-profit making a difference in our community.
They have the opportunity to share their story and mission with our audiences. We also invite our audiences to generously support them through a free-will offering during concerts, or by donating electronically
- Bridge to Basics bridges the hygiene gap by providing daily essentials to nonprofits for distribution to those they serve. Spring 2024 concert.
- Joseph’s Coat is a free store providing goods and service to those in need, within an environtment of dignity and respect. Winter 2024 as a part of Open Door Community Theatre‘s production of Joseph.
- Open Cupboard‘s unrelenting focus is to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in a respectful manner while engaging our community in the fight against hunger. Christmas 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 concerts.
- Hope for the Journey Home provided housing for ‘newly homeless’ families participating in a program at the Community Resource Center (CRC) at Saint Andrew’s Church in Mahtomedi. The CRC has since decided to focus on homelessness in other ways and Hope For the Journey Home closed in March of 2024. Fall 2023 concert.
- Pollinator Friendly Alliance‘s mission Our mission is to protect the environment through conservation of pollinators helps to restore ecosystem biodiversity, improve water quality, and care for people and the planet. Spring 2023 concert.
- Winter 2023 as part of Open Door Community Theatre’s production of Godspell.
- Angels of Hope, Woodbury Creating a lasting memorial in remembrance and in honor of all children, who passed too soon. Fall 2022 concert.
- Ukrainian Refugee Relief through Lutheran World Relief has been providing medical supplies and equipment, shelter and filling key gaps in health services for those displaced by the war in Ukraine. Spring 2022 concert.
